Cosima Wagner International Music Competition

The Competition is open to musician from all over the world. There is no age limit.

The fourth edition of Cosima Wagner Competition will be held in Bellagio (Lake Como), with final concert on July 19th. Competition is open to soloists and chamber music groups up to five members. Participation in both sections is permitted, provided that separate applications have been submitted.

A performance of 15–20 minutes is required. The repertoire may be freely chosen. The recording should be filmed with a fixed camera and in concert format. The video must be uploaded to an unlisted YouTube channel, and the link must be included in the application form available at www.cosimawagner.com

All participants must send the registration form downloadable from the competition website by email to the address competition@cosimawagner.com – The deadline for submitting applications is no later than June 20th, 2025.
Applications must also include:
1) a professional CV for individual participants and/or Duo
2) a copy of a valid ID for each participant
3) a written program of the chosen repertoire for each round
4) a receipt for payment of the entry-fee
5) an uncut, live video recording with a minimum duration of 20 minutes, as specified in the
section “Competition Rounds”
The Competition entry fee is 70 euros for each Ensemble, 50 euros for soloist. The fee must be paid no later than the 20th of June 2025, via wire transfer to the following bank account:

The Jury will be composed of musicians of great fame. The members of the panels cannot participate in the vote in the case of candidates who are relatives or students with whom they have or have had teaching relationships in the last two years. Upon taking office, each member of the panel will issue a statement on their situation with respect to the competitors in relation to the above. The decision of the Jury is final.

Jury will assign each competitor a score out of 100. The best placed (with a score of at least 95/100) will be awarded the First Prize. The second placed (with a score of at least 90/100) will be awarded the Second Prize. The third placed (with a score of at least 85/100) will be awarded the Third Prize.

The first prize winner of each section will receive a gross fee of 1,000 euros and will be awarded 2 prize concerts at the Bellagio and Lake Como Festival or another partner event in Lombardy.

The candidates winning the First Prize in each section will have to perform at the final concert at the Rockefeller Foundation Auditorium (Capuchin Chapel) in Bellagio. Participation in the concert is mandatory, under penalty of forfeiture of the prize money and the prize concerts.

During the Final Concert, a popular jury will award the Audience Prize, with a scholarship of 250 euros and a gift from the area.

The rights to any audio and video recordings , photographs or streaming, radio or television broadcasts are property of the Competition and do not give the right to any compensation. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

The Competition Organization is not responsible for accidents to people and/or things either during the trip or for the entire duration of the competition. In case of unexpected events, the management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the competition. In case of cancellation, registration fees will be refunded.
Incomplete applications or those not accompanied by the registration fee will not be taken into consideration. The Competition management reserves the right to accept any late applications, compatible with the organizational needs of the Competition.

Registration for the competition implies the tacit consent of what is indicated in the regulation. For any dispute, the Italian version of the regulation will be valid and the court of Lecco will have jurisdiction.
